Journal Club

The focus of the Journal Club is to discuss the most exciting findings in women’s cancer research, report on related topics, and to stimulate interactions between basic, translational, and clinical researchers. The general theme will be translational research, discussing papers that give biological and mechanistic insight into clinical observations, with the goal of stimulating new thoughts on research programs in the WCRC.

Time: 4:00pm
Location: Hemingway's Cafe in Oakland at 3911 Forbes Avenue. I encourage everyone to stay after the discussion for happy hour!

Format: will be a 'round table discussion' with no slides...'presenters' will be more like discussion leaders giving a summary of the paper, explaining key points, and bringing prepared discussion points/questions to stimulate groups discussion

This month, Myriam Attar of Carola Neumann's lab will present a paper examining EMT in circulating tumor cells.

External Work-in-progress (WIP)

The goal of WIP is to provide a forum for investigators (trainees, students, fellows, junior faculty) to discuss their research in a multi-disciplinary setting. The meeting occurs weekly at MWRI include link to speakers
