Overview

The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (UPCI) is committed to the education and training of new and upcoming cancer researchers and health care professionals who care for cancer patients. From high school and undergraduate summer research opportunities, to pre- and post-doctoral training grant-sponsored programs, to medical fellowships and residencies, to continuing medical education for healthcare professionals, UPCI offers a wide variety of educational resources.

In addition, our community outreach and education efforts, coordinated through the UPCI Office of Health Equity, Education, and Advocacy, strive to reduce the burden of cancer, promote cancer health equity, and inform, apply, and enhance UPCI scientific research by establishing strategic partnerships with health promotion and advocacy organizations throughout western Pennsylvania.
