Chemical Biology, a powerful tool to identify new cancer targets, chemical and biological probes, and leads for new drugs is now being provided to UPCI investigators as a service through a newly established developing Target and Drug Validation Facility (TDVF). The specialized instrumentation, software, and compound libraries for high throughput screening and chemical synthesis available in the University of Pittsburgh Drug Discovery Institute (UPDDI) form the basis of this core.
The TDVF will assist UPCI faculty in their drug development translational research by providing the instrumentation, reagents, small molecule libraries, expertise, and personnel to enable modern high throughput and high content cell-based screening and computational analysis of potential lead compounds.
