Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC is known for its outstanding clinical services, research programs, and medical education. Children's is among only 6 percent of hospitals nationwide to have achieved Magnet Recognition®, and is one of 12 pediatric hospitals in the United States named to the U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll of America’s “Best Children’s Hospitals” for 2012–2013.

The Institute for Transfusion MedicineThe Institute for Transfusion Medicine is the leader in transfusion medicine in both the Pittsburgh and Chicago regions. The two blood centers, Central Blood Bank in Pittsburgh and LifeSource in Chicago, provide nearly a million units of lifesaving blood products annually. The Institute has established a partnership with the University of Pittsburgh to conduct more clinical research.

UPMC CancerCenter at Magee Women's Hospital of UPMCUPMC CancerCenter at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC allows patients to receive the highest level of cancer care without having to leave their communities. The Women's Cancer Program, as part of UPMC CancerCenter, offers individualized comprehensive care provided by experts in the supervision of women's cancers.

UPMC ShadysideUPMC Shadyside is a 520-bed tertiary care hospital that has been serving the residents of Pittsburgh and the tristate area since 1866. The medical staff includes nearly 1,000 primary care physicians and specialists, many of whom have offices at the hospital and throughout the community. In addition, UPMC Shadyside earned Magnet® status from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

UPMC PresbyterianUPMC Presbyterian is a renowned center for organ transplantation, and a recognized leader in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, critical care medicine and trauma services, and neurosurgery. This location is an adult medical-surgical referral hospital and a site of ongoing research and graduate programs in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. UPMC Presbyterian also is designated as a Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center.

Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Healthcare System proudly serves the veteran population throughout the tristate area of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System consists of two clinical care facilities in Pittsburgh, as well as five community-based outpatient clinics.
