Herbert Zeh III, MD

Dr. ZehDr. Zeh is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh, Co-Director of the UPMC Pancreatic Cancer Center, and Co-Leader for GI Cancer at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1994. His post-graduate training consisted of an Internship and General Surgical Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He completed a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, and clinical fellowships in Surgical Oncology and Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Zeh has received numerous awards during his career, including the Anthony Imbembo Resident Teaching Award, the prestigious ASCO career development award, and the Society of Surgical Oncology James Ewing Award given annually to a promising researcher in a junior faculty position. Dr. Zeh is Board Certified in General and Oncologic Surgery. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, ASCO, AAS, and AACR. He has numerous peered reviewed articles, reviews, invited published papers, and books.

Barry Lembersky, MD

Dr. LemberskyDr. Lembersky is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Interim Co-Leader for GI Cancer at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. He has clinical practices at the Hillman Cancer Center and the UPMC Cancer Center at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC. Dr. Lembersky received his medical degree from The Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine and a Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Lembersky is an Associate Director of Medical Affairs for the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) and a member of its Breast Committee. He also serves on the board of directors of the American Society of Breast Diseases, the Pennsylvania Oncologic Society, and the DeeDee Sacco Fight for Life Organization. Dr. Lembersky is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. His research has been published in high profile journals, such as Cancer and The Journal for Clinical Oncology.
