Training Activities
As part of the Facility's mission in an academic institution, it organizes regular training workshops for faculty, staff, and graduate students to learn about synthetic peptide methodologies. These workshops typically include presentations by company technical representatives on basic and advanced topics and an invited senior investigator recognized for innovation in the field of synthetic peptides. In addition, the facility organizes, once every several years, a training workshop presented by The GMP Institute (Tampa, FL) that fulfills the requirement for individual certification in GLP procedures. These training workshops are open to the entire university research community (Univ. of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon Univ.), with priority registration given to UPCI members.
