Required CCSG Acknowledgement

The NCI requires that publications acknowledge the UPCI CCSG support, and they are tracking compliance. If a UPCI CCSG-supported Shared Resource provided data used in your publication, please include the following statement in the acknowledgment section of your publication(s):

"This project used the UPCI [insert name(s) of shared resource(s)] that [is/are] supported in part by award P30CA047904."

Shared Resource Directors: Please make sure to include this statement on all of your order forms, contracts, etc. as a reminder to your users to acknowledge the UPCI CCSG support.

Services & Equipment

The ChBF provides high-quality support services to UPCI researchers for:

  1. High throughput screening (HTS) and High Content Screening (HCS) assay design, development, validation, and implementation;
  2. Computational chemistry, computational biology, and systems biology;
  3. Hit characterization, lead characterization, and lead optimization; and
  4. Data analysis.

A component of the ChBF's service includes supplying high quality, professional access to multiple automated liquid handlers for use in 96- and 384-well plate formats, detectors, large chemical libraries, chemical informatics, chemical analysis, analog acquisition, and sophisticated data analysis software. The ChBF collaborates with UPCI faculty, staff, and trainees in developing and conducting cancer-relevant, cell-free and cell-based HTS and HCS assays. Training is offered either on an individual or group basis depending on the perceived need or formal requests for training.
