The CBF offers access to the Illumina® BeadStation GX system, which supports:

  • high-throughput genotyping
  • gene expression
  • DNA methylation analyses
  • moderate throughput (96, 384, 768, 1536-SNP plex) SNP analyses
  • high-throughput whole genome (up to 1 million) SNP analyses
  • global and candidate gene mRNA expression and DNA methylation profiling
  • either snap frozen or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue samples

BeadStation GXThe system includes:

  • a multiplexed assay
  • multi-sample microarrays
  • a submicron-resolution scanner
  • SNP scoring
  • RNA/DNA methylation profiling software
  • pre- and post-PCR Tecan Genesis Workstation 150 liquid handling robots are used to automate assays to reduce errors
